Some of my major break throughs as an artist is that I should just be free with most of the things I create, I like to add a different theme to each of my pieces. My first piece I used the internet to get my inspiration creating Gary from Sponge Bob. For my second piece I had used my inspiration from the ocean on which I had just visited on Spring Break. Then for my third piece we created dog and cat dishes which there wasn't many room for creativity for that piece although I decided to try something new and explore with a little splatter paint and mixing of colors. Then for our self directed project I took my inspiration from the sky and the stars, I attempted to use the wheel to but failed so I decided to use a more abstract way of looking at a piece, I used some of my original designs to use for planets as if they are were being sucked up into a black hole. For my mask piece I decided to lead with my inspiration as in more of a horror theme, because whenever I think of masks I think of Halloween I also drew some of my inspiration from the Human Centipede. I like to let my pieces flow, I like to create as I go but also mixing things up. Which I think shows a lot of my personality because I never really stick to a plan or make a plan but instead I like "go with the flow" I rarely ever show up to things on time because I never really like sticking to a schedule. I also like to let the viewer interoperate the art in a way only they can. I also like to add in a little interoperate of my own whether it's the theme of the piece or the way the viewers eye moves through it to help show them the theme of the piece. The viewer I hope feels a whimsical feeling a feeling of inspiration that they can go anywhere and do anything, and they can go out and explore the unknown of the world and try something new. I also hope that with every piece that it gives them a different feeling a different form of inspiration. My life without art would be boring, it would have no inspiration, and I wouldn't be able to appreciate the little things in life like how the light hits the coca cola can just right against a brick wall. Or how the sunsets against the mountains or how the light shimmers through the leaves of the trees as the sun begins to set or rise or at mid point of the sky. The arts we make don't in my opinion represent our school to school life or our school to work life because our art is free something school doesn't give us. It also represents how each of us are individual which does give us a insight of our day to day life's because at least we have our inspiration to be ourselves in the outfits we wear. Although it can inspire us to become an artist in our careers to create inspiration in our viewers to help them find meaning in something that they are missing. Artist like to show a different point of view on a situation recreating it or making it a renewal. They have their own unique way of showing a different point of view or a new side of a story.
