My plan is to take photos of different things using different elements of a rainy day.
My photos
For this shoot I took photos of my friend Bailey on a really cloudy day of her walking around because I thought her red hair really matched the trees. Also I really liked how her outfit was dark and cozy much like the weather.
My Edits
For this project I edited my photos in different Gradient layers so the colors were all different and contrasted from each other, for the top left picture I had taken a photo of Bailey through a sun roof when there was rain drops on top and altered the gradient level to make the blue and green stand out more and the light purple to make the resemble each other. The photo on the bottom left had used the gradient layer to change the colors to green and purple like the joker, then I enhanced the purples and brighten the greens. The photo on the right I had changed the gradient layer to pink, purple, green, and dark blues I enhanced the pink and purple but darkened it so that the it gave the photo a mysterious look.
My Printed
I decided to print this photo of my friend Bailey because I really like the way the rain drops looked against the sun roof, I also decided to make the gradient layer brighter colors so it had added a heating effect even though. She had her hand placed on her ski rack so it added in the mysterious effect of what is that object? Is it a person what is that line. I thought m use of color in this project really added onto the effect of mystery, I also liked the effect it had on the rain drops and how they would ombre from one color to another. The principle of design I had used was contrast between the different shades of color, and how bright each one of them was. This is important because if I had it in normal colors then it wouldn't be as mysterious, and it wouldn't draw the viewers eye to the person. I had also used the element of art shape by how each rain drop was a different shape and how the shape of my friend was all different and misformed. This connected to the principle of design proportion because of how big it made Bailey look compared to the rain drops, or how big the rain drops look because of the angle I had taken the photo. My interpretation of this project is mysterious because of how Bailey doesn't really even look like a person and with all the different colors I had used adds on to that feeling. I thought this project was a success because of how all the different colors went along with each other, and they were all very bright and how abstract the photo is. What I think could be an improvement is if I had made the photo more blurry so it added onto the mysterious and unique effect, it also would draw the viewers eye to the big thing of read because it would be the only thing visible.
